WOYWW #258

Good morning fellow crafters everywhere and welcome to my workdesk.  I took this photo late yesterday afternoon and it still looks the same.  If you are wondering why I'm showing you my little mess, head over to Julia's blog.  She is the creator of this Wednesday craziness and we all love her for it.  I stumbled onto this several years ago and have been a participant ever since.  Julia has all instructions on her blog for this so come join us and give it a go.  It's all in good fun!

It's pretty much the same view as last week but the elements are all changed.  I've been working on a corset card and here are some of the free images I printed off the internet.  My new sponge daubers from Ranger....I love this size and use them every day!  Front and center is my new Spellbinders tool; it just came yesterday.  I didn't get a chance yet to use it so we will see how that works.  I'm feeling like it would do just as well for a stiff dental brush but we will give it a go and see.  I definitely love the idea of it.  Also a spray bottle of Tea Dye ink and water that I use to age pieces of paper or lace.  The little jar with the blue and orange lid has watered down gesso in it.  I use it when I just want a white wash look on flowers and such.

Well I hope you have enjoyed your time with me this morning.  I love playing along with you guys on Wednesday.  So now I'm off to visit Julia's blog and start my process of visiting as many of the blogs as I can!  See you there!

Have bought the "sponge daubers" I'm finding they mark the paper more than the old ones. That's probably me of course. Have the new tool on order, look forward to using that.
Happy crafting

Hi Glenda,

I have never thought of watering down gesso to use as a white wash - thank you for the idea; now let's see if I remember to try it!

That tool definitely looks dentistry in nature. I bet it's great for picking out the little bits from a die.

Thank you for visiting me already!
Happy WOYWW

What on earth is a corset card?? It brings to mind burlesque and all sarts of risque things, lol!
I read your previous post and I have also discovered pink in my middle age! I hated it with a passion when I was young...was a real tomboy. Pink and Dolls were for GIRLS :-)

I'm playing catch up today. Thanks for calling by yesterday.
I must admit I'm totally in the dark with lots of the paper crafter's stash but it certainly sounds like you will be having lots of fun with your new 'toy'.

Gosh Glenda, I don't own a single die, and I knew what that tool does, although it appears many people aren't familiar with it. I think Neet did a blog post on it once right after (or during) CHA this year. I like how you compare it to a toothbrush. What a clever idea if I ever do get a die cutting machine.

Thanks for your earlier visit and happy VERY belated WOYWW from #1.
