WOYWW #177

Oh my goodness, it is already Wednesday and time for another dead run through as many work spaces as I can before nightfall!  No, I have not totally gone over the edge...if that had been the case, trust me, I would have taken a few of you with me.  If you don't know what I'm talking about head on over to Julia's blog: http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com  and have a little look around.  Crafters come from all over the world to link their blog posts to this little lady's blog and then we can peek into craft areas and see what we all have going on.  I have to say, I have been doing this for over a year and I'm quite taken with the concept.  I have made new friends along the way and have watched this grow and grow.  I would be lost if Julia decided to stop this madness!  So now on to my desk this week.

The window is going to be a focal point on a card that I have in mind.  This is what happened with the egg shells from last week.  I made two windows using this technique and I love how they both turned out.  You can scroll down a couple of  entries and see the card I did using the smaller window.  This technique would be beautiful if you have any kind of scroll work die or use any dies to make some kind of frame.  I have also been working on a little Magnolia image.  I stamped this one and then scanned it into my computer and printed onto my water color paper.  I wanted to change the size to fit this oval to work with a card I have in mind.  She doesn't show up very well in my picture, but I have only just begun to color her in.  I'm hoping she turns out well.

Well I've gotten a little long winded but  I'm going to hush now and go check out some of the blogs this morning and see what you guys have been into this week.  Have a wonderful WOYWW Wednesday!

Love this card concept! Yes--don't know why I'm suddenly so addicted to my art journal! It's a Smash book, and I bought it almost a year ago, but just now I'm filling it up. It's also a great place to try out ideas and concepts...so fun. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #13

You window looks so good...have to start saving my shells!

Good idea about stamping and then putting thru the machine and then printing on the watercolour paper.

Love how the eggshell mosaic turned out, it looks great on the smaller card too. Stamping an scanning is a great idea, but I take it you don't have an inkjet printer otherwise the print would run? Basic knitting is very easy, still time to learn!! I started off making dishcloths from cotton. I learnt patterns and fixing mistakes, plus they're very useful too.

Awesome looking card in the making! Did you get the die from Joan's? I have been thinking about buying one since seeing them on Selma's blog but...procrastination! I don't know how much I would use it. I have the egg shells saved but haven't done anything with them yet. Soon. Hope you have a great week. Vickie #91

Hi Glenda

I was able to zoom right into your picture - must say that the window is stunning and will look fabulous on your card. Is it a die or did you purchase it. Windows on cards add a lovely dimension to your projects.

Thanks for sharing and thanks for popping over to my desk today. Happy WOYWW

Hi Glenda,
Love the window with the eggshells, very different. Also thanks for sharing the idea of scanning a stamped image then resizing, that would be very cool for lots of things.

Thanks for your earlier visit.

Hi Glenda,

Those eggshells really turned into something pretty! How cool.

I didn't link up this week as I wouldn't be able to visit all the desks that I should. But I did want to pop in to see what you've been up to.

Hugs,
Kay

What a great idea to use the egg shells like this - very effective. Mind you - one of our hens laid an egg without any shell the other day - it was just surrounded by a membrane - very weird!

Not longwinded at all Glendale! The eggshell technique looks fabulous. I've treated myself to the small window and sill die this month, so will be trying to emulate your gorgeous works.
