Rose Vase.....

Good morning everyone!  I hope you are enjoying the Holiday weekend.  Us old folks are staying at home with our feet propped up watching the world go by!  So while there is  nothing going on around  here, I thought I would share another card I made for Heartfelt Creations.  I used HCPC 3395 Bella Rose Vase PreCut Set and HCD 712 Bella Rose die on this one.  The image is colored with Distress Inks and then cut out and layered on the card with the swirl die and a little doily from my stash.  I embossed the gold leaf on the paper to add a little more dimension and texture.  The little butterfly is a Martha Stewart Punch and I sprayed with some shimmer sprays just to see how it would turn out.  I liked the look and added a few black half pearls for the body of the butterfly.

Have a safe and wonderful rest of the weekend!

Tea Time....

Good morning everyone!  It's Friday and we are going into the Memorial Day Weekend.  I hope you have wonderful plans and lots of time off work.    As for me, I plan to do some chores today and then spend some time with my husband and of course make a little time for crafting.  We have been having some terrible storms here and he is working on a tree that fell on a house.  Fortunate for us the storms have skipped over us and gone on to other neighborhoods.  We had a little hail and lots of rain and wind but  no damage here.

My card this morning is using Heartfelt Creations Stamps.  I stamped and colored using Ranger Distress Inks then I cut out and did my card.  The stamp is HCPC 3393 Tea With Bella PreCut Set. My card base is Canson Watercolor Paper.  It is thick and rigid and makes a great base card.  I added a layer of Burgundy card stock and a layer of coordinating paper and secured them together.  Attach the cut out image to a Spellbinders Labels 6 cut out of the same Burgundy card stock and secure that to the card.  Next I cut pieces of ribbon and glued them to the corners...tie a bow and attach to one of the corners and then attach everything to the base and it is ready to go.

Now I am off to get my second cup of coffee...you know me, I just gotta have it!  I hope your day is a  beautiful one and that Mother Nature smiles on us for awhile!  Remember, life is short, take a little time to Breathe!

Heartfelt Creations Wednesday......

It's Wednesday and that means I get to share another creation made using Heartfelt Creations products.  You can also go to the Heartfelt Creations Blog and check out all the  beauties posted there by the other Design Team members.  There is so much talent on this team, I feel like I'm out of my league!

Today, I'm sharing a box I decorated.  I really love doing this and it can be used for so many things.  Little trinkets, a set of cards or a small gift could go inside.  They make wonderful gifts on their own.

The Heartfelt Creations Products used were:  HCPC 3312 Uplifting Scripture PreCut Set, HCPC 3376 Distressed Leaves PreCut Set and HCPC 3374 Flora Grande 2 PreCut Set.

This little number was quite labor intensive, but I love the way it turned out.  It makes me want to keep it for myself...sometimes I do get selfish...hehehe!!  Now that you have had a little look see of what I did, why don't you go on over to Heartfelt Creations Blog and see what everyone else has going on.  Have a great Wednesday...the work week is half over and remember to take a little time and "Breathe".

WOYWW 103......

Wake up everyone...it is Wednesday and time once again to share what you have going on on your work desk!  You can head over to Julia's Blog and get all the specifics.  Every Wednesday we take a picture of our work desk and upload it to Julia's Blog and then you can visit other blogger's desks and see what they have going on.  I just love doing this and every Wednesday that I can, I try and be a part of this little craziness.  It is quite addictive and once you start visiting other blogs, it is hard to stop.  I just keep thinking....just one more....just one more!  So far I  have not been able to visit all the blogs but I keep trying anyway.

Ok here is what my desk looks like now....I am wondering what I'm going to do next...the possibilities are endless...that is what I love about crafting.  Last week one of the bloggers that I visit posted a new piece of Zentangle that she was doing...this got me to thinking...I used to do this, but didn't follow it very far and actually lost interest.  Seeing her desk made my mouth water and so drooling as I went, I pulled out my fine pens and started doodling again.  I'm not really good at it, but it is so calming and I could spend hours doing it.  I also have some stamps laid out to plan my next card.

I love working with circles the most....it just seems to fit with me.  In the picture below, see if you can see the butterfly.

Trust me he is there.  Well ladies, I've babbled on and on and it is time to get another cup of coffee and move on.  Have a wonderful Wednesday and we will talk soon!

So I stood in the sun pulling blooms for hours......

I'm not even sure what happened yesterday...I was fully intending to post this yesterday and life just got in the way.  I decided I would work in my flower beds for a little while and then come inside and post this card...well I did go outside and work and somehow a few minutes turned into a few hours and first thing you know it was time to rest a bit and then do my evening chores...you know ... fix dinner, feed the dogs, do a load of laundry...etc., etc.   I got into pulling dead blooms off my rose bushes (the ones in the round bed in our yard I showed you a couple of posts below.  You are not supposed to have to do that with these roses, but I just decided I didn't like the look.  So I stood outside for hours pulling those blooms off the plants and now it looks really bare, but in a couple of weeks it will start blooming all over again and be just as beautiful.  I feed all the plants in the yard and spent maybe 3 1/2 hours in the sun.  But everything looks so much neater and the feeding will insure more beautiful blooms shortly!

Ok on to my card.  I used Heartfelt Creations HCPC 3396 Bella Rose Lattice Background PreCut Set for this one.  I colored with Copic Markers and it has been awhile since I used them.  I have really lost my touch with them.  I struggled with the leaves and the flowers trying to get the shading just right.  I do wish I could find a Copic class and attend....it would help me a lot.

Today, I have errands to run and spend most of the day taking care of that.  Also a little trip to Hobby Lobby can never hurt!  The weather has been a little iffy here...storms predicted all around but so far we have dodged the bullet.  I'm hoping today will be a good day for you and that you take a moment and "Breathe"!!

Check back tomorrow...it will be another Heartfelt Wednesday and I will have something new to share with you!

A Little Angel...

I made a friend awhile back.    She is one of those people you feel like you have known all your life.  She is always sympathetic when you need a whine, always happy when you share good news and supports you even if it is from a thousand miles away.  Well today I'm sharing a card I made for her and it will be going in a little box that I plan to send along to her soon.

The image is h'anglar and was sent to me stamped on a wonderful piece of card stock just for me to color.  I love these images and wish they were available here in the States.  I colored her with Ranger Distress Inks and cut out using Spellbinders Dies.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I colored the edges with Distress Inks and Sprayed with Pearl Ex Sprays.  I hope you enjoy her.

Blue Jay and Roses.....

As I get older, I find that I appreciate God's little gifts more and more.  Birds, butterflies, bees, flowers...you know...all the little things that we are given each day.  When I worked full time, it seemed that I never took the time to stop long enough to fully appreciate these things...just fleeting moments here and there.  Now that I am home all day I try to take a little time each day and just sit down outside and look around.  Those gifts are all around us and to my amazement, I love each and everyone of them!  Yesterday a Jay came to my fountain and then on to the dry dog food left in a pan.  They are such gorgeous creatures and I thought of this card; so I want to share with you this morning..

When I say to you to "Take Time and Breathe"...this is what I mean.  Just take a moment or two, take a good cleansing breathe and look around you.  God's gifts are right here just waiting for us to be amazed by them.  These are the times I feel the smallest.  Such a wonderful place we live, and so much beauty here in the hills of East Tennessee.

The designer at Heartfelt Creations, Linda Bontrager has captured the beauty of nature in her stamps!  She has such a talent and shares that with us in the lovely images she creates.  I have said it before, but working with this company makes me feel like I have come home.  The stamps I used for my card today are:

HCPC 3385 Spring Birdie & Roses PreCut Set
HCPC 3353 Cardinal Family PreCut Set
HCD 706 Cardinal Family Die

Well ladies, that about does it for me today.  So no matter where you are, no matter what you are doing, take a little time and "Breathe" (wink)

Other Supplies: Spellbinders Fanciful Flight Dies, Lattice Pendant, Ranger Distress Inks, Sticky Doos for dimension, Card Stock, Canson Watercolor Paper, Seam Binding and Stickles.

Heartfelt Creations Wednesday and More Bella Rose

Good morning; I hope you are up and ready to face the day.  We have been having dreary, cool days lately with rain and wind and cold.  They tell me it's Whippoorwill Winter....Yep, that's a Southern thing, I think; but none the less there it is!  We have been in the 40's and 50's and had to turn the heat back on; can you believe it?  Well one good thing about sitting inside is I get to play in my craft room.  So I'm sitting here with my music playing Country and I'm stamping and coloring and pasting, etc.  I'm truly in heaven!

Ok....I've strayed from the beaten path...This week I used HCPC 3392 Bella Rose House PreCut Set to create my card.  This can be found at Heartfelt Creations.  Here is my card:

I stamped the image on watercolor paper and colored with distress inks.  I hope you enjoy this as much as I loved doing it.  This image is one of my favorites as I have a thing for birdhouses and butterflies.

Thanks for stopping by this morning and visiting for awhile. I always enjoy your visits and if you have time leave me a comment and tell me what you think.  Remember....take a little time for yourself and "Breathe".

Stop and Smell the Roses!

Two years ago my husband decided we needed these Knockout roses for our yard instead of trying to plant annuals every year.  It was a wonderful idea and I just love them.  The whole yard smells so sweet and there is little maintenance with these.  Believe it or not there is a birdbath in the middle of this growth and the birds just love it because of all the cover!

He also planted a pink bush next to the fence and it has flourished.  This year it has this on it.  What do you think?  Maybe it is going back to original color ....they are hybrids.  We are going to continue to watch this one and see what it does.  The red is so much deeper than the other reds we purchased.  Very interesting.
We are hoping it continues with the pinks and reds.....wouldn't that be unusual?

Hope your weekend is going well.  We woke up to cloudy skies this morning after brilliant sunshine yesterday.  The temp here this morning is 54 and I must say it feels so nice after the hot and muggy days we had been experiencing.

Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the world and remember to stop and smell the roses.  You are always welcome here!

A Pretty Vine......

Good morning everyone.  Things have been a little crazy around here this week.  My Maggie had a trip to the vet on Monday to get a crazy toe nail taken out and to get her teeth cleaned.  They wound up taking several teeth, the nail and a place on her ear.  Poor baby, she was sore all over!  So I've been nursing her back to health this week.  She is almost back...she tried to play ball last night, but her mouth was just too sore, but it is a very good sign!

Since Blogger was crazy all day yesterday, I'm posting this next card that I did for Heartfelt Creations.  I just love this vine and will use it often!  The Heartfelt Creations Products I used for this card are:  HCPC 3363 and HC 3394.  You can find these stamps at the Heartfelt Creations Site.

I will be back in a day or so to show you another card I made and we will talk more then.  It is finally the weekend and I'm  beginning to see a little daylight at the end of my tunnel.  I've spent most of the week cleaning the back porch and the back deck, the upstairs garage and of course the house.  I still need to scrub the front porch and get everything in order there.  All my flowers are into the pots and placed where I wanted them.  I just need to get my humming bird feeder up and I think I can finally sit and enjoy for a spell!

Hope you have a great weekend and remember, wherever you are and whatever you are doing, take a moment and "Breathe"!

To Cheer You.......

Good morning everyone...I hope you are up and ready to go because it is Monday all over the place!   Do you have your week planned out yet?  I have lots to do this week.  I'm hoping to get the back porch cleaned off and ready to sit outside.

This morning I want to share another card I did for Heartfelt Creations.  You can find these wonderful stamps here:  heartfeltcreations.us

You know, sometimes it is amazing what you will find hidden away if you look.  This old embossing stencil was purchased back in 1997 and I had put it away and I'm not sure I ever used it; but it came in handy for this card.  I have a whole case of these stencils....I really need to go through it and pick out some and work with them again.  They are very pretty, I think.  Now If I could just remember what I did with my light box and cutting tools!

Hope your Monday is filled with many blessings and lots of sunshine!  And always remember to take a moment and "Breathe"!!

Mother's Day Card.....

Good morning everyone.  Hope you realize it is Friday and almost the weekend!  Since this is Mother's Day weekend I decided to make a card for the day.  Here are the details of the card:

Card Size 6” X 6”

Heartfelt Creations Products:
HCPC 3323 Large Elegant Word Background PreCut Set
HCPC 3389 Sentiment for Mom PreCut Set

You can visit Heartfelt Creations and purchase any of these products.

Make card base 6” X 6” and set aside. Cut a 5” X 5” piece of white cardstock and stamp with the background stamp using Memento Rich Cocoa. Cut a piece of tissue paper and glue to the stamped cardstock. (I used some tissue paper that lined my spray box for Pearl Ex sprays)  Make sure it is crumpled and distressed looking. Torn edges are fine here. Mount this onto base card and set aside. Cut beaded ovals and then use Classic Ovals Small to cut out the center of the beaded oval piece. Put cardstock back into the beaded oval die and sponge with Broken China Distress Ink. Stamp the sentiment onto cardstock and cut out using Classic Ovals Large Die attach it to the back of the frame using 3-D Zots to elevate it from the rest of the card. Attach to the card. Cut out Foliage and flower petals and spray with Pearl Ex Spray. Once dry, emboss to give dimension. Glue the flower layers together and add pearl to the center; edge the petals with stickles. Arrange the foliage and flowers around the center frame of the card. I glued several stamens together and inserted as an accent piece. Punch out the butterfly and Edge with Distress inks; spray with Pearl Ex and when dry add stickles to make it sparkle. Attach to the card and it is ready to go.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and enjoy Mother's Day.  I get to have a visit from my daughter and  my Grandson.  I'm so looking forward to their visit.  Remember to take time to "Breathe"!

Glued the main image onto card base and the card is ready to go.
