Two years ago my husband decided we needed these Knockout roses for our yard instead of trying to plant annuals every year. It was a wonderful idea and I just love them. The whole yard smells so sweet and there is little maintenance with these. Believe it or not there is a birdbath in the middle of this growth and the birds just love it because of all the cover!
He also planted a pink bush next to the fence and it has flourished. This year it has this on it. What do you think? Maybe it is going back to original color ....they are hybrids. We are going to continue to watch this one and see what it does. The red is so much deeper than the other reds we purchased. Very interesting.
We are hoping it continues with the pinks and reds.....wouldn't that be unusual?
Hope your weekend is going well. We woke up to cloudy skies this morning after brilliant sunshine yesterday. The temp here this morning is 54 and I must say it feels so nice after the hot and muggy days we had been experiencing.

Love your roses.... we to have the knockout's and they are so care free, love them... This year we got 2 yellows and they are beautiful too. My Mom has them dotted around her yard and enjoys the color all year long...

WOW!!! The roses are gorgeous!!!! Of all the flowers I have, I don't have any roses, always heard they are high maintenance so never even tried. Your are gorgeous!!!!

What beautiful roses, Glenda! My roses were that way in Colorado. Here, I have had one climbing rose covered once, my new tree rose with three blooms, the rest of my bushes with just a rose here and there. I miss the ones I planted and smelled and had to leave. I have planted some new ones this year hoping I will have better luck with them. Your pink one is probably grafted off the red one and part of the original one is now coming out. There are beautiful two color rose bushes being prodcued that way now, so enjoy! I got a Gerber Daisy with yellow blooms and orange blooms on the same plant, go figure! I just love flowers, can't have enough! Have a wonderful day!
These are so pretty. WOW. I am always afraid to plant roses. They seem hard to grow. I bet the birds do love these.
Thanks for sharing these beautiful Roses. I love roses and this is the first place I haven't had them or lilacs. Spring has arrived in IOWA. I have the windows open and planted a few flowers. Hubby has mowed, finished planting his farm crops and his garden.
The background brick home looks like the one I moved from before coming to the farm. I miss it.
Have lots to do, we are going for Taco's tonight and that is a treat for me. Few and far between in this rural area.

These roses are gorgeous. I need something easy to take care of in several areas in the front yard. I am going to go see if I can find these. Would love to open the windows and smell these beautiful roses. So far all I have blooming are the tulips.
Gorgeous! I've never been able to grow roses here because they're like a deer magnet. Wally has been keeping the deer at bay this year, though, so I'm reconsidering. Wouldn't it be lovely to have the two colors on one bush? I had a rose tree once that reverted to root stock. It was a beautiful red tree, but came back one year as a burgundy climber. No more rose tree. I have a cherry tree which is half pink and half white blooms.
I have never heard of 'knockout roses' but seeing your pictures I really must check into them. What a unique thing to have pink and red on the same bush. I hope they continue to bloom that way!
