Remember This?

Remember last Spring?  There was a lot of whinning going on here...So much painting to do and will I never get this finished.  Well it got finished and the porch railing too!  So why am I bringing this up?  Because there is a world of chores left for me to do before I have this place whipped into shape for the summer.  I need to paint the shutters on the house, the porch floor and the rocking chairs...also the garage door is calling my name too.  Thank goodness I don't have to paint that fence every year.  What a chore that is.

I have been pulling weeds until my back screamed and laying down bark chips and feeding plants so they can bloom beautifully.  And can I just say, the grass in East Tennessee is growing like gang busters...I swear I could mow three times a week (if I would).   Does anyone need a gardner?  I work cheap...room and board is all I need and I love being outside.

So bear with me as I continue to do my rubbin and scrubbin and it will be over before you know it and I will be back playing in my craft room and posting  daily like a good blogger should!  Don't forget about me and move on.  I will be back! (said in my best Arnold voice).

That picture is just Beautiful! The fence was worth the work it makes a lovely backdrop for the plant nestled there... just beautiful... Sounds like you have more than enough work of your own girl. All that painting on your plate you will be busy for a while!
Enjoy the outdoors while you can.... it's already in the 90's here in Fl and the humidity is starting up too and so are the bugs..... I'm getting all I can too before it's so hot I can't take it!

If the fence is any indication, you're going to be in Better Homes and Gardens this summer! We'd never forget about you--have fun outside!!

Hi Glenda, I love your fence. We can not have fences in the front here and all three fences in the back surrounding my neighbors yards are just old wood and not mine. Besides I am sure there is a rule about that as well. Tylenol has a new cream out for aches and pain, it is immediate relief, if you want the name, e-mail me! I love doing all those things, I can only do so much a day if I want to walk tomorrow! LOL! the old body is not what she used to be!!!! I will be on my way out in a bit with the cats. Yes, I did know that about the cardinals. I had a young pair born here last year that are back and a new male born this year. Each set of birds have there own little things they do. I had a mother Blue Jay, yesterday who flew in after pop BJ with a worm in her mouth. Pop wanted to eat, but she buzzed him as if to say, Hey I have dinner for the babies, you can eat later. and off they flew! My cats just watched hoping they would stay awhile! Have a fun day!

I wish I had a fence to paint but so far my yard is still just mud...no grass, no fence, no nothing. The builders haven't even painted the outside yet as they have to have so many days of good weather. So hush up woman and enjoy the beautiful fence and yard you do have. Lovely looking and in case you didn't notice...I envy you. Happy Easter Glenda. Pat

Oh, dear, I must be a bad blogger 'cuz I sure can't post everyday! If only I didn't have to go to work... However, I love to hear about your activities around the house and garden since I can relate to it so well. Your white picket fence is absolutely beautiful. How different your Tennessee home is from mine in the Pacific Northwest.
