WOYWW 90

Well ladies....it's Wednesday again and time for WOYWW! (What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday)   It seems like only yesterday that we were doing this, but I guess it was really last week.  Time flies when you are having fun.  Now if you are not familiar with what this is, you need to go on over to Julia's Blog stamping-ground.blogspot.com  and check it out.  Every Wednesday everyone takes a picture of their workdesk and posts it on their blog.  Then you can visit these blogs and see what everyone has going on.  You get to be nosey and look around and see that you are not alone and there are many more just like you out there!  Every week I try to see how many of the blogs I can visit and I try to leave a short message for them.  Sometimes I just can't make it through them all, but I do love trying.  There is a world of talent out there and this gives you some insight as to what others are doing!  You have to love it!

Actually, not too messy this week.  I've been playing a lot and most of my creations have gone in the trash.  The purple blobs in the center of my workdesk are a couple of acetate butterflies that I have been trying.  I love the look of these.....but not mine!  I went through about 4 sheets of acetate and not one butterfly that I felt like I would be proud to use.  So I guess these are not in my future!  I've also been playing around with Perfect Pearls ... trying it on leaves with paint and I'm not too happy with that either.  So then I just decided to practice my coloring.  I went to Big Lots yesterday and all I purchased out of that huge store were two little spools of ribbon.  They reminded me of Spring....one is pink and the other is a pale purple.  The paint is out because I've ordered some Pearl Ex and want to experiment with some different colors and make my own version of glimmer mist.  I go through a ton of that stuff and if I could make my own it would be so much better for me.  Next on my agenda is some spray bottles.  I don't have a clue where to purchase them.

Well ladies that is it for me today!  If you visit, please leave me a comment.  I love hearing from you....now I'm off to visit the other ladies and see their desks!

Oh I don't know, those butterflies look really good from here, maybe we're too critical of our own work sometimes?? Love the images ready to be used and the desk is nice an clean this week.

Wow, Glenda! It is Wednesday again. Your desk looks great to me! My ideas just come out of thinking about a stamp set for so long until things appear. At night I think about cards instead of sleeping, not by choice I assure you. I have always had an imagination, but no sleep stretches it ! A lot of good ideas come when I have my headaches caused from stress and or sinus. However a lot of times I forget them or they are all jumbled up! As for getting inside my head, I have never had anyone tell me that, I am not sure there is anything worth looking at there. Have a great day playing my friend! That is sometimes the most rewarding thing I get done!

Hi Glenda - thanks for visiting me. Your desk looks great and I so love that Grace card. That series has got to be the cutest ever! I long for the day I'm as good at colouring as you folks - just wish my hand was steadier, and waiting to buy more pens. Thanks for sharing x

oh such a great desk with some fun creations to be coming soon. I think you should just use some of those purple butterflies and enjoy the journey! No more rubbish!!!

Now, my guess is, those butterflies and leaves are probably fabulous, but they are just a different look than what you are use to!! Make something with them. You might find that you actually like them on a project!!

I love to read about what you're up to. The purple butterflies I see on your desk look really pretty from here. Is that what you threw in the trash? Hey, at least you're giving it a shot, trying something new. I see a new card image in the works, and that pretty ribbon. I know you're going to be sharing something sweet and feminine soon. Can't wait to see it!

I'm guessing Longs will have empty spray bottles...I got mine in a pharmacy type shop here.
I love your desk, always terribly tidy and I really admire how you take time to experiment with stuff. I can't see what the buterfly objections are - they look good from here!

I think new media are tricky and yet to perfect acetate myself
Thanks for sharing,

Great peek, the butterflies look interesting from what i can see.
I would recommend the mini misters by ranger to make your own mists in, they never seem to clog up which when using powders to make your own is quite important don't ya think :D you should be able to get them readily online :D
Happy Thursday x

Good luck with your own mists; let us know how you get on? Brenda makes a good point about those butterflies. They look lovely in the picture, and you may like them more when they are in a setting of your choosing.

Glenda, I’m sure you’re being too critical of yourself and I’m positive that your butterflies would great on a card. Be brave and give them a go!

I ordered some spray bottles from ebay.

I like using PP with water in a spray to make a sort of glimmer mist ...my next purchase maybe will be a Tim Holtz stand with ??12 mini sprays ...then I can make my own range ...sounds like you might find it useful too.

Lots of fun stuff going on at that desk. Wonder how you colored the butterflies. Can't imagine anything you create not being fabulous. I saw that cup of coffee there and thought if it was on my desk it would get knocked over! Anxious to see what you create with that cute image sitting there.

Love the images you have colored on your desk! Keep trying coloring the acetate! I finally broke down and bought some Sharpie colored markers to color the acetate with and I liked it better then what my Copics or Stampin Write Markers did. Thanks for sharing. Vickie #148

You sound like me... I love to try new things out but often find I am not happy with the results.. I think sometimes we are too hard on ourselves!! Your desk looks very neat and tidy for someone that has been trying all sorts of new techniques!! Annette #5

I love seeing these messy little desks !!! I think I would be ashamed to show mine as I'm one of those crafters that has every color of cardstock out on my desk cuz to make one card cuz its so hard to make up my mind. Your desk looks amazing. By the way is that large tan sheet just paper or a craft mat? I love it. I think this would be addicting every week.
